A quick note--For YanceyLink to create books from the church magazines, you must have the church magazine CD installed. For more information, see the Help->Church Magazine CD in the GospeLink help menu.

YanceyLink 1.7 is now available at: home.comcast.net/~erichca**** You must be a registered user of GospeLink 2001 to use this utility. Do not distribute e-books you create using this utility to other people who do not own the GospeLink 2001 library *** Now creates over 3000 distinct books. 1.7 Fixes & Features - Now supports the images that are in the GospeLink books in the generated YanCEyWare YBK books. I have been trying to make this work all week now without any success. The new 1.7 does give me a message that says "request timed out" after it has created the directory structure and written the first two files. I have the latest .net 1.1 installed, both gospel link cds installed to my hard drive, am a registered owner etc. Any thoughts as to what I may be missing?

sorry about the previous post using Ericha, I am not used to this format. If you have any suggestions as to the "request timed out" message I am getting in the previous post please let me know. Thanks, - Mike

Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering why Ericha would be having problems getting Yanceylink to run. Is there a book in particular you're having problems with? It seems like I got a message like that with "Articles of Faith". I finally just let it go for a long time. It ended up making the book anyway, but it didn't make the other books I had checked. After I unchecked "Articles of Faith", it made the other 7 or so books I had checked with no problems. Bottom line is, I still got all the books I wanted, so I didn't complain. Anyway, you might try checking different books and see if that makes a difference.

YanceyLink 1.8 is now available at: home.comcast.net/~erichca**** You must be a registered user of GospeLink 2001 to use this utility. Do not distribute e-books you create using this utility to other people who do not own the GospeLink 2001 library *** Now creates over 3000 distinct books. 1.8 Fixes and Features - Now supports the "AHTAG" markup that allows you to add annotations and highlighting to each paragraph of the book. - This is added via a little superscripted paragraph number at the start of each paragraph. - I recommend you get the latest version of the YanCEyWare reader which supports hiding and showing the annotation tags (http://www.yanceyware.com/Downloads/YanCEyWare%20Reader%201.8/YanCEyWare%20Reader%201.8.exe). - Note that we now have a problem--if I continue to improve YanceyLink, it may mean your annotations and links in a book generated with 1.8 will be broken by a book generated by a later version of YanceyLink. Not sure how to deal with this.
